Kianna Underwood, Former Nickelodeon Star, Dies at 33 in Hit-and-Run

Former Nickelodeon child actress Kianna Underwood tragically died at the age of 33 after being struck in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn, New York. Law enforcement confirmed that the incident happened on the morning of Friday, January 16, 2026, in the Brownsville section of the borough.

Underwood was best known for her work as a child actor on Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy series All That, where she appeared in multiple episodes in the early 2000s. She also provided the voice for the character Fuschia Glover on the animated series Little Bill and appeared in several film and theatre projects during her career.

According to the New York Police Department, Underwood was crossing the street at an intersection in Brownsville when she was first struck by a black SUV. After the initial impact, a second vehicle — described in reports as a black and gray sedan — also hit her. Both drivers fled the scene, and no arrests have been announced. Underwood was pronounced dead at the location of the accident.

Multiple news outlets note that surveillance footage and police descriptions indicate she was hit while crossing without the right of way. The vehicles involved did not remain at the scene.

Underwood’s passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from fans and former colleagues who remembered her early television work fondly. The NYPD continues to investigate, and authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could help identify and locate the drivers responsible.

Her legacy as part of a generation of Nickelodeon performers remains a cherished part of her career, even as her untimely death highlights the ongoing issue of hit-and-run incidents and pedestrian safety in urban environments.
