Part 3 — The Story Behind the Location

The man’s girlfriend listened carefully as he described what was happening.

The figure on the screen.

The empty parking area.

The way it seemed to move around the car.

At first she said nothing.

Then she asked him a simple question.

“Do you know where you’re parked?”

According to the story, he didn’t.

It was simply a quiet location where he often stopped to relax.

That’s when she told him the local story.

Years earlier, according to local residents, a fatal accident had occurred nearby.

Different versions of the story tell it differently.

Some say it involved a pedestrian.

Others say a man had died while walking alone along that stretch of road.

Whatever the details, the location had developed a reputation.

Many people avoided it after dark.

The driver laughed nervously.

The explanation sounded ridiculous.

There had to be a more logical answer.

A sensor malfunction.

A software bug.

Anything but a ghost.

Still, the conversation left him uneasy.

He thanked her, ended the call, and decided it was time to leave.

The moment he started the Tesla, the figure disappeared.

Just vanished.

For the first time all night, the display showed nothing unusual.

Relieved, he pulled away and headed toward home.

According to the story, he drove for several minutes before glancing down at the screen one final time.

And that’s when his stomach dropped.

The pedestrian icon had returned.

But it wasn’t outside the vehicle anymore.

It wasn’t standing beside the road.

It wasn’t behind the car.

The figure was now being rendered inside the vehicle.

In the passenger seat.

Facing him.

The story never explains what happened afterward.

Some people believe it was nothing more than a software glitch.

Others believe the timing was too strange to dismiss.

But according to the story, the driver sold the car several months later.

Not because of the incident itself.

But because every time he drove alone at night, he found himself glancing toward the passenger seat.

Just to make sure nobody was sitting there.
